Deuteronomy is mostly a rehash of the Israelites journey. Barnel and Marc pull some passages and discuss their thoughts on the bible thus far.
Moses gets a demotion, more war, and God shows some more of his sexist side.
Things pick up as the Israelites start conquering land. Of course along the way God has to show who’s boss. The show ends with a conversation about whether there’s a difference between faith, and blind faith.
Not much narrative in this one. More rules and logistics. There’s talk of a census, adultery, ritual shaving and trumpets.
God fills his people in on more laws, from how to properly offer animal sacrifice to which animals you can eat. But first, Marc is confused about whether the Old Testament even counts.
This is the second half of an episode Marc and Barnel recorded on Leviticus. We had intended to fit all of Leviticus into one episode, but it went quite long so we’ve split it into two parts.
Before we go on to the second half, as promised we’ve included a discussion that Marc and Barnel continued after they had finished their segment about whether the New Testament nullified the Old Testament.

The Israelites party while Moses confers with God. Moses isn’t pleased but eventually sets them straight with some strong words and some arbitrary capital punishment. Finally God’s holy items are built.
God imparts his rules and wisdom to the people. Marc and Barnel don’t see eye to eye on this one.
Moses is born, talks to a burning bush, learns some parlour tricks, marches out of Egypt and kills a bunch of Egyptians.
